The Jaipur Collective is a Indian high-street, slow fashion brand label founded in 2021 by Hiteshwari Jadeja to give the Indian hand made textiles a young, modern makeover.
Born into a Rajput family in Gujarat, Hiteshwari’s childhood was steeped in the rich colors and intricate designs of heirloom pieces passed down through generations.
She was always mesmerised by the grace and beauty of heirloom pieces of her mother and grandmother, known as Rajputi poshaks and sarees in radiant hues of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and many more that brought vibrancy in her surroundings and evoked her emotions.
Her love for colors, art, nature and design created a stimulating experiences since her childhood. She was always fascinated by the beauty and elegance of her grandmother and was blessed to receive many of her sarees for her wedding. One most precious was her wedding saree made in intricate bavan baug, one of the oldest bandhani patterns from Gujarat, encrusted with chandi laffa and kiran. Hiteshwari redesigned her grand mother's heirloom wedding piece by using those rich embellishments and created a beautiful poshak in red for her own wedding
Her fashion journey shaped up after being married and moving to Jaipur from her ancestral home of Gujarat. Amidst the bustling art scene in all over India, she noticed a distinct void in the ready to wear market—a gap in brands that merged traditional Indian textiles with a fresh, contemporary touch. Her husband, Bhanu Pratap Singh, an advertising & fashion photographer, played a pivotal role in bringing her vision to life.
Their mission was clear: to create contemporary, affordable pieces that celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Indian textiles while making them accessible to a wider audience.
Together, they embarked on a journey to support local artisans and safeguard the timeless hand-printing techniques of Rajasthan, all while crafting contemporary and affordable pieces.
The brand stands for accessibility, affordability, and the celebration of heritage through a modern lens. Every piece is a testament to the beauty of Indian textiles, crafted with respect for the past and an eye on the future.
